Saint Joseph Catholic Community

Social Concerns Ministries

This ministry affirms that each of us is a precious gift from God. It is informational and provides opportunities to contribute time and resources to the elderly, the physically challenged, and pregnancy outreach.

“Christian charity is first of all the simple response to immediate needs and specific situations; feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, caring for and healing the sick, visiting those in prison, etc…”
Pope Benedict,
Deus Caritas Est

“Justice is inseparable from charity, intrinsic to it. Justice is the primary way of charity, the minimum measure of it – but charity goes beyond justice and completes it in the logic of giving and forgiving.”
Pope Benedict
Caritas in Veritate
